Please make sure your child gets plenty of rest and eats a hearty breakfast so they are prepared. * Please join us in celebrating Staff Appreciation Week from May 5–9! Let’s show our incredible staff how much we value and appreciate all they do. * Friday is the Rotary Luncheon at Point Arena High School for our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who have been nominated for this prestigious academic award. * Have a wonderful week, Horicon Hornets! As we return to school, we're excited to finish the year strong together. * The after-school program and tutoring continue this week. * This Thursday, all 5th and 7th graders will take their end-of-year fitness test, which includes running a mile. Hello Horicon Families, Here is the weekly update for the week of April 7: * Monday is the monthly site council meeting at 3:00 pm in the library * Monday is the monthly board meeting with open session beginning at 4:30 pm * On Wednesday, Ms. Sacha's class will be going on a field trip to B. Bryan Preserve from 8:45-1:00 pm * This Wednesday is TK/K Registration in Ms. Sacha's classroom at 1:30. * Parent surveys were sent out via email and are also available on our website. Please complete the anonymous parent survey by 4/11; each submitted survey will enter you into a drawing to win either a $50 gas card or a $50 Gualala Supermarket gift card, and we will draw 4 winners. Hello Horicon Families, Here is the update for the week of March 24: * Thank you to all parents attending the Point Arena Lighthouse field trip. It was a beautiful day, and we are grateful for your support. * There will be no afternoon bus on Tuesday, March 25, and Friday, March 28. * We have a new water fountain in the cafetorium. To limit the amount of disposable cups being used, please send your student to school with a reusable water bottle. * Please make sure your student is not bringing in any toys from home, including playground equipment. Hello Families, We are excited about tomorrow's all-school field trip to the Point Arena Lighthouse. If you are driving yourself and your student, please meet us there at 10 am.
