Hello Families, I’m always exploring ways to better support our students, and I’m thrilled to share a fantastic opportunity! I recently met with a company called Appa, and I believe their program could make a real difference for our kids. Appa is a Mentorship Program featuring Certified Wellness Coaches who help students build essential life skills, boost motivation, and develop confidence. Although the program is specifically designed for 7th and 8th graders, after speaking with the founder, we’ve also opened the door for younger students to participate! This is an incredible opportunity for your child to receive personalized support from trained professionals who are dedicated to helping them succeed in and out of school. If you’re interested in signing your students up, please email me at clinker@horiconsd.org, and I’ll add them to the list. We are offering this 12-week program free of charge (the program may be extended if you'd like). Let’s work together to give our students the tools they need to thrive! We celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day to honor his leadership in the fight for civil rights, his dedication to justice and equality, and his vision of a world where people are judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin. * The bus is back up and running. Thank you for your patience while it was being repaired. * Tutoring continues on Tuesday and Wednesday. * The After School Program runs daily until 4 pm . Have a wonderful week, Horicon Hornets!
