Here's the update for the week of September 7th:
* There is no school on Monday in observance of Labor Day.
* Wednesday is Back-To-School Night! Join us from 5:00–6:30 PM for an evening of connection and fun. We'll have the Scholastic Book Fair in the Gym, Classroom Presentations, and a Fundraiser Dinner hosted by our wonderful middle schoolers. Come tour your child's classroom, meet their teachers and support staff, and get a sneak peek at everything planned for this year. We can't wait to see you there!
* The Scholastic Book Fair will be up and running this week. The easiest way for your child to purchase books is to set up an e-wallet for them.

Here is the link to our food service department site. In the top upper right corner you will see Linq Connect Online Portal button. If you click this you are able to complete your application for free and reduced meal application. Keep in mind all students get free breakfast and lunch but our funding depends on this application being filled out by all families.
Once you click the link follow these steps:
1. Click on School Services
2. Click Free and Reduced Application
3. Type in Horicon Elementary School District (Annapolis, California)
Please note if you change the language the application can be completed in the selected language. If you need a computer we can arrange that or you can do it at Back to School Night next Wednesday. Your student should have brought a back to school family information packet home last week. Please make sure to review the information and return ASAP.
Also this year you need to fill our your food eligibility form online at https://linqconnect.com/public/meal-application/new
if you need to use a computer please contact the office and we can arrange for this to happen. You should be able to do it from your mobile device as well. This form is required for all students to be able to be served breakfast and lunch at the school.

We will start with the regular Wednesday schedule with dismissal at 12:40 pm for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten, and 1:30 pm for grades 1 through 8. We're all looking forward to a fantastic year together!

* Friday is the last day of school. Friday will be a minimum day with dismissal at 12:20. We will have field day activities all morning, so please dress appropriately for fun and outdoor activities.
* We cannot thank families enough for such an incredible year. We hope everyone enjoys the summer, and we will see you at the start of the 26-27 school year on August 19th.
