Good evening, Horicon families, Unfortunately, we did not have enough parents step forward to help organize and run the Halloween Carnival, so we will not be able to hold the carnival this year.
We are disappointed that we won’t be able to host this fun event for our students, but we understand that everyone has busy schedules. As many of you know, our annual Halloween Carnival is a favorite tradition our students look forward to every year. For the past several years, it's been organized and run by a dedicated group of parent volunteers- but unfortunately, those parents are unable to take it on this year.
To make the carnival happen, we need 8 parent volunteers to help organize and run the event.
If you're interested and have the time to help, please reply to this thread to let us know. We'll need at least all 8 spots filled by Monday, September 21st. If we don't have enough volunteers by then, we unfortunately won't be able to hold the carnival this year.
Thank you for considering lending a hand- and for helping make this a fun, memorable event for our Hornets!

* There is no school on Monday in observance of Labor Day.
* Wednesday is Back-To-School Night! Join us from 5:00–6:30 PM for an evening of connection and fun. We'll have the Scholastic Book Fair in the Gym, Classroom Presentations, and a Fundraiser Dinner hosted by our wonderful middle schoolers. Come tour your child's classroom, meet their teachers and support staff, and get a sneak peek at everything planned for this year. We can't wait to see you there!
* The Scholastic Book Fair will be up and running this week. The easiest way for your child to purchase books is to set up an e-wallet for them.
